BREAKING NEWS: DUU KIHAMA NACTE YAFUNGIA VYUO 112 TAZAMA NA CHAKO KAMA KIPO, NI VYA DAR, MWZ, GEITA, SIMIYU, KAGERA, PEMBA N.K


THE National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) has deregistered five technical institutions that were operating illegally.

The five schools are State College of Health and Allied Sciences, Zoom Polytechnic College, Tabitha College—formerly: ThabitaVocational Training College; Financial Training Centre and TMBI College of Business and Finance all based in Dar es Salaam.
At the same time, the education body, has issued a 14 day ultimatum to 41 other institutions, which were operating without registration, to fulfill the law requirement or face the music. NACTE Chairman Engineer Steven Mlote said at a news conference: “any failure to abide by the compliance order will lead to imminent closure of those institutions.”
Some of the 41 institutions which were operating without being registered are Time School of Journalism - Chakechake, Pemba; Dar es Salaam School of Journalism and Mass Communication DMSJ – Bukoba, Simiyu, Geita and Mwanza.
Others are King Solomoni College, Bethesda Montessori Teachers Training College and Avocet College of HotelManagement in Arusha; Kewovac Nursing Training Centre and St Family Health Training Institute – both in Mbagala, Dar es Salaam.
The 112 colleges whose registration had expired and 52 others that were operating without fulfilling registration requirements have been granted a grace period of one month to ensure that they meet appropriate legal requirements.
