PRESIDENT John Magufuli has called on Tanzanians to continue praying for
peace and unity as well as working hard in everyone’s field of work.
President Magufuli made the remarks
yesterday when he went for prayers at the Immaculate Conception Catholic
Church, Chato Parish, St Stephen Anglican Church, Chato Diocese,
African Inland Church (AIC) Chato and Omar Bin-L-Khattab Mosque in
Chato.
According to a statement from the
Directorate of Presidential Communications, Dr Magufuli stressed the
importance of adhering to the Holy Scriptures, especially in working
hard to hasten the country’s development. “I thank you all my brothers
and sisters for continuing praying for peace and unity in our nation.
We are all Tanzanians; let’s continue
praying to God to continue strengthening our peace and unity among all
religions, tribes and parties because He loves us,” President Magufuli
stressed.
At the Immaculate Conception Catholic
Church, Dr Magufuli conducted an impromptu harambee to contribute for
the construction of a new building and managed to raise 1 million/-.
President Magufuli had previously contributed 10m/- towards the project on April 3.
At Omar Bin-LKhattab Mosque, St Stephen
Anglican Church and AIC, President Magufuli contributed 5m/- each for
the rehabilitation of their buildings.
